Oprah and Dr. Oz discuss fiber

Fiber is very important in order to lose weight. On a recent episode on Oprah, Dr. Oz discussed how we are not getting enough fiber in our diets. By eating more fiber, you will be able to clean your digestive system more effectively. Fiber helps lower your cholesterol and also helps you get rid of sugar in your bloodstream. More importantly, fiber will help you feel full after eating your meal, which aids you in order to lose weight.

The average American only eats seven grams a fiber a day, when we actually need 25-35 grams of fiber daily. In order to meet the 25-35 gram requirement, you should eat seven to nine servings of fruits and vegetables. This is how a satisfying and healthy salad can help you meet your fiber daily intake.

Try your best to have at least one meal consisting of a salad to meet your daily fiber intake and you will be sure to feel healthier!

    This is some helpful info, thanks. At the moment I’m really focused on getting shredded six pack abs. It’s my personal aim these days. quicker I’ve been told that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all important to incorporate into my diet. Anything else I’m not thinking of?
